Liyu joined the Derynck lab as soon as she got her Ph.D. in the Deep South. As she was spending most of her precious time there understanding how TGF-beta plays both the good guy and the bad guy in cancer, she got herself a husband and enjoys their common interest in photography happily ever since. As the wind and fog begins to invade the old city of San Francisco, she walks herself onto a mysterious road towards TGF-beta in cell growth (caution!
