How to Help With their ability to direct the production of all different types of human cells and tissues, stem cells offer a breathtaking scope of therapeutic potential. Among the diseases and conditions that might benefit from stem cell-based therapies one day are: Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, heart disease, spinal cord injury, stroke, muscle degeneration, bone and cartilage repair, infertility, liver disease, pulmonary disease, cancer, AIDS, osteoporosis, and craniofacial abnormalities. Your gift will accelerate the pace of scientific discovery at the Institute for Regeneration Medicine, enabling top researchers and clinicians to explore the potential of embryonic or adult stem cells to replace, repair and regenerate tissues and organs. Your generosity will enable the Institute for Regeneration Medicine to support and expand its program, and to provide a conducive environment for researchers and clinicians to work together toward cell-based and regenerative medicine therapies. Private support is needed to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery and to pursue promising clinical applications swiftly. To foster greater interaction between researchers and clinicians with related interests, a new state-of-the-art facility is being designed. In addition, support is also needed to recruit world-class researchers, to support training, and to provide resources to explore promising research opportunities. Ways to contribute
